A Masjid is a key and central point for the propagation and worship of Allah. The key and fundamentals of Deen are imparted from there.

Many Masajid in Malawi are in poor conditions; some are dilapidated whilst others do not have proper structures and are easily destroyed in bad weather.

Our aim is not only to construct Masajid in rural areas but also to revamp old dilapidated Masajid and revive the Masajid thereafter with the 5 daily Salah and Da’wah programs.

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) mentioned “When man dies, his actions come to an end except three, the rewards of which keep accruing even after his death, (they are) Sadaqa (charity) that have recurring benefits, knowledge from which people continue to benefit, pious children who offer du’a on behalf of their deceased parents” (Sahih Muslim)   Likewise revamping a Masjid will have similar rewards.

In another Hadith, Rasullah (Sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) mentions that the construction of a Masjid will accrue reward for a person even after his death.

“The deeds for which a believer continues to receive their rewards even after his death are: Knowledge which he taught and propagated; pious children which he left behind; a Masjid that he constructed; a residence for travellers that he constructed; a canal that he dug; sadaqa (charity) that he gave during his life in good health; all these will assist him after his demise”   (Sahih Ibni Khuzaima, #2490, Al-Maktab al-Islami)

It has been related that the Prophet (Sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “Whoever builds a Masjid for (the sake of) Allah, be it small or large, then Allah will build a house for him in Paradise.”[Jami` at-Tirmidhi 319 Book 2, Hadith 171]
